This program includes memorization, which involves the student memorizing the Quran, recitation, which involves the student reciting what they have memorized, and learning the rules of recitation (Tajweed), which enables the student to read the Quran according to the way it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Learning outcomes:
Memorization
Students will be able to memorize the Quran at their own pace, with the help of their sheikh. They will be able to recite the Quran from memory, with proper Tajweed.
Recitation
Students will be able to recite the Quran with proper Tajweed, following the rules of recitation as taught by their sheikh.
Tajweed
Students will be able to apply the rules of Tajweed to their recitation, so that they can recite the Quran in the way that it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
